What Changed From the FX1371
This is a refinement job, not a redesign. The FX1372 drops a third of a pound off the bare weight and trims the head nearly half an inch. The One-Touch collet and the dual self-tapping modes are the headline additions. If you own the FX1371, these gains are not enough to justify an upgrade.
How It Performs
In Pro Tool Reviews’ screw drive test, the FX1372 turned in a 5.84-second average, faster than the Milwaukee M18 FUEL 2953 at 5.96 seconds and well ahead of the DeWalt DCF860 at 7.54 and the Makita XGT GDT01 at 13.11. On the bolt break test it posted 1.74 seconds, joining Milwaukee (1.54) and Ridgid (1.93) as the only mainstream brands under two seconds.

FLEX uses a 24V platform that claims about 20 percent more power than 18V tools, and this is the punchiest driver in the range. If you already own FLEX batteries, this is an easy buy. Starting fresh, the kit ships with two 5.0Ah batteries, a charger, and a hard case.
Build and Ergonomics
The rubber overmold and grip texture carry over from the FX1371, and a two-position belt hook plus an on-board holder for two hex-shank bits round out the package. The LED light ring has five brightness settings so you can dial it down for close work.
