Ryobi has a new 18V ONE+ Storm Preparation Kit listed on its site as coming soon. Model number PCL1310K, and it bundles three things people actually reach for when the power drops: a 4-inch clamp fan, an LED area light, and a power source that turns a Ryobi battery into a phone charger.
Pricing has not been announced. Ryobi has kept the kit in “coming soon” status since early October, so a Home Depot shelf date is likely in the next few weeks but not confirmed.
What is in the box
| Item | Spec |
|---|---|
| 18V ONE+ LED area light | 400 lumens, roughly 40 hours on the included 2Ah pack |
| 4-inch clamp fan | 180 CFM, 13+ hours of runtime |
| 18V power source | Two USB ports for phones, tablets, and lights |
| Battery | 18V ONE+ 2Ah lithium-ion |
| Charger | Compact, included in the kit |
| Warranty | 3 years |
Those runtime figures are Ryobi’s published numbers as relayed by How-To Geek and SlashGear. A 4Ah pack will stretch the light past 40 hours, and the power source runs off any ONE+ battery you already own.
How it stacks up against the old kit
Ryobi has sold storm kits before. The older PCL1307K1 carried a $129 list price and packed a compact radio into the bundle instead of a fan.
This new PCL1310K swaps the radio for the clamp fan and adds the USB power source, which is the more useful trade for most people.
How-To Geek expects this kit to land well under the $300 a similar package fetched a few years back, but Ryobi has not published a number. Treat any price you see online as speculation until Ryobi or Home Depot posts it.
Compared with a dedicated portable power station, this is a much smaller commitment. It will not run a fridge or a sump pump.
What it will do is keep a room lit, move air through a stuffy bedroom, and top up phones when the grid is out. If you need real backup power, our guide to portable power stations covers that category properly.
Who it is for
If you already own Ryobi batteries, the math is easy. You are buying two accessories and a USB adapter.
The battery and charger are the part you can leave in a closet until you need them.
If you do not own ONE+ batteries yet, this is not the cheapest way in. A starter kit with a drill or an impact driver gives you far more for your money.
Those kits run frequently at Home Depot. Check our cordless combo kit roundup before buying a kit built around emergency use only.
When and where
Ryobi lists the kit on its own site as coming soon. Expect it at Home Depot when it ships, since that is where ONE+ accessories live. We will update this post with pricing and a link once Ryobi publishes them.
