Prime Big Deal Days 2026 has official dates. Amazon’s October sale event runs Tuesday, Oct. 6 through Wednesday, Oct. 7, exclusive to Prime members.
That timing opens the holiday tool-deal season about four weeks earlier than last year’s ramp.
Last year the event landed Oct. 7-8, with early pricing surfacing the week before.
The announcement came Sept. 15. As of this writing Amazon hasn’t published specific tool deals, and it typically won’t until the sale is live. But the pattern from prior years is well established, and for tool buyers the planning window starts now.

Why Tool Buyers Should Care
The October event has become the on-ramp to holiday tool pricing.
Last October, DeWalt kit discounts hit 30 to 40% off, and battery multipacks saw some of their best prices of the year.
Amazon-native brands, the ones we track for the highest affiliate value because they’re only sold on Amazon, typically cut deeper in October than during the summer Prime event because the holiday quarter is their biggest sales window.
There’s also a competitive ripple.
When Amazon runs a big sale, Home Depot and Lowe’s answer with their own promotions, often on brands Amazon doesn’t carry first-party.

How to Play It
So how should a tool buyer play it?
Three rules worth following this month:
- Know your prices. Not everything gets discounted, and some “sales” just match the everyday price. Price history trackers beat banner claims.
- Watch for early pricing. Some of the best tool prices of the season show up in the week before the official dates, not during them.
- Buy sold-and-shipped-by Amazon where warranty matters. Third-party listings on deal days can be gray market.
