Milwaukee has a new 6-1/2 inch NITRUS Carbide framing and demolition circular saw blade on the way, model 48-40-0650.
It’s listed on Milwaukee’s own site with an October 2026 availability window and a $24.97 price, or $49.97 for a two-pack. The headline claim: it cuts over 400 nails where Milwaukee says competitor blades manage 174.
NITRUS Carbide is Milwaukee’s premium blade material.
It’s already proven on the AX NITRUS Sawzall blades that launched earlier this year.
This is the same idea applied to circular saw blades: welded carbide teeth engineered to flex on nail strikes instead of fracturing, so one blade handles demo work and clean framing cuts without a swap.

A 7-1/4 inch 24T version is part of the same NITRUS framing and demolition family. Milwaukee’s material claims cover the full ugly list: nail-embedded lumber, screws, shingles, wet and treated lumber, plywood, OSB, and LVL.
That matches what pros actually hit when a framing job turns into teardown work halfway through the day.
Those materials read like a roofing tear-off checklist, on purpose.
Why one blade for both jobs matters

Hit a few hidden nails and the carbide chips, and a $10 blade becomes a vibration machine that burns through batteries.
Milwaukee’s pitch is that the NITRUS teeth survive the nail strikes that kill regular carbide.

The 6-1/2 inch size targets cordless saws, where thin kerf and light weight matter most. Anyone running an M18 Fuel circular saw on framing or renovation work is the obvious buyer here.
Since this is a Milwaukee accessory, it will be sold at Home Depot and Milwaukee dealers rather than Amazon. Pricing can shift between now and the October launch, so verify the shelf price when it lands.
