Skil’s most powerful leaf blower yet: 650 CFM on the PWR CORE 40 platform
Skil quietly added a new top-of-line blower to its 40V outdoor lineup, and Pro Tool Reviews flagged it as the strongest model the brand has shipped: the BL0650C.
It moves up to 650 CFM at 170 MPH. That puts it in the same airflow class as the Ryobi 40V HP Whisper Series blower, a tool that has owned the budget-40V conversation for a while.
Price: $178 or $199 depending on the battery
Pricing is set at $178 for the BL0650C-13 kit with a 4.0Ah battery.
The BL0650C-15 kit steps up to a 6.0Ah pack for $199, per Skil’s own site.
Both configurations show sold out right now, and the 6.0Ah kit’s Amazon listing is currently unavailable, so this looks like a launch-window supply gap rather than an abandoned product.
Acme Tools lists the 6.0Ah kit at $199 as well.

What you get for the money
Variable speed trigger with speed lock-on means you can cruise at a set output without squeezing the trigger. There’s a boost function for wet, stuck-down leaves, and the tube detaches for storage.
Skil rates the tool IPX4, so splash exposure from wet grass and leaves is covered.
The battery story is the real pitch here. The 40V PWR CORE 40 pack included in either kit also works across Skil’s other 40V yard tools.

How it stacks up
Against the Ryobi 40V HP Whisper (650 CFM, 160 MPH, $209 tool-only at Home Depot), the Skil comes in as a kit with battery and charger under $200, which is aggressive.
Compared to Skil’s own smaller 460 CFM kit (about $107), the step up to 650 CFM costs roughly $70 more, and that’s the difference between clearing grass clippings and moving full leaf piles.
One caveat: Skil claims 170 MPH, and the blower’s force rating (19 N) is modest compared to pro backpack units. This is a homeowner tool aimed at half-acre to multi-acre lots, not a crew machine like the battery backpacks we track, such as the Stihl BRA 280.
