Ryobi quietly shipped a second generation of its SwiftClean wet/dry vacuum mop, and the new model PBLUV748 keeps the suction and fixes the one thing owners complained about. The self-cleaning stand now charges the battery while the tool sits docked, so the tool is topped off and ready the next time you grab it. Pricing is $349 for the bare tool or $399 for the kit with a 4.0Ah High Performance battery and charger at Home Depot.
What Changed From the First Gen
The short version: not much, and that is mostly fine. The previous PBLSV747 already scored well with reviewers, and Ryobi confirmed the motor is unchanged. The 50 IOW suction rating became 47 air watts, which Ryobi describes as a more accurate rating for the same motor rather than a power drop.

The dock is the headline. It still self-cleans the roller in about 60 seconds and stores a spare roller and filter, and now it tops the battery without you pulling it off the tool. In testing by Pro Tool Reviews, the kit ran 18 minutes 41 seconds on Max and 33 minutes on standard mode, close enough to Ryobi’s own numbers.
Where It Fits
Hard-floor wet/dry cleaners sit between a stick vacuum and a mop, and Ryobi’s angle is the ONE+ battery you probably already own. Tineco and Bissell own the high end of this category, and Ryobi undercuts most of them while letting you swap batteries with the rest of your 18V tools. If your shop and kitchen share a floor, that matters more than a spec sheet.
The tool is at Home Depot now, both as the bare unit and the kit. The kit is the better buy for most people since the battery upgrade costs only $50.
Ryobi has been filling out its cleaning lineup all year. If you are shopping the rest of the family, our cordless shop vac roundup covers the wet/dry side, and the cordless leaf blower guide is where the same batteries get their biggest workout.
