Milwaukee has added ONE-KEY connectivity to its flagship M18 FUEL 7-1/4″ circular saw. The Model 2835-20 (bare tool) and 2835-21HD (kit with battery and charger) are now shipping as part of Milwaukee’s April 2026 product wave, available at Home Depot and through Milwaukee’s dealer network.
This isn’t a ground-up redesign of the saw — it’s a meaningful addition of the ONE-KEY platform to one of the most widely used tools in the M18 FUEL lineup.
What ONE-KEY Actually Adds
ONE-KEY is Milwaukee’s Bluetooth-based tool management system. On a circular saw, the practical benefits break down into three areas:
- Tool tracking: GPS-assisted location data via the ONE-KEY app. If a saw goes missing on a multi-trade jobsite, you have a record of where it last checked in.
- Theft deterrence: Tools can be flagged as stolen and disabled remotely. A disabled M18 tool won’t operate when powered by an M18 battery that’s connected to the ONE-KEY network.
- Inventory management: Contractors running multiple crews can log all tools to a single account and track utilization across jobsites — relevant when you’re managing 20+ tools across a crew.
For solo DIYers and small shop operators, ONE-KEY is largely invisible. For a GC running multiple crews, it’s a real fleet management tool.
The Saw Itself
The M18 FUEL platform on a circular saw means a brushless motor, and that matters for sustained cut performance. M18 FUEL circular saws have consistently been the benchmark for cordless circular saws — faster than the competition in most head-to-head cutting tests, with better run time on a charge.
The 7-1/4″ blade capacity handles full-depth cuts through 2x material at 45° and 90°, which is the minimum spec any framing or decking crew needs. With the 2835-21HD kit including a high-output battery, you’re looking at full-day performance on a single charge for most residential applications.
