Bosch Announces 4 New 18V Cordless Tools for 2026: Pin Nailer, Ratchet, Right Angle Drill & Recip Saw

Bosch is kicking off 2026 with four new professional-grade cordless tools designed to fill gaps in their 18V lineup. The new releases include a 23-gauge pin nailer, cordless ratchet, high-torque right angle drill, and compact reciprocating saw—all powered by their CORE18V high-power battery platform.

The Four New Tools

GNH18V-35N 18V Cordless 23-Gauge Pin Nailer

Bosch’s new pin nailer brings brushless motor technology to finish work. It’s designed for trim, cabinetry, and wood veneer applications where you need fastening power without visible nail holes. The 110-pin magazine capacity means fewer reloads during install jobs, and the brushless motor should deliver consistent driving power throughout the battery charge.

Pin nailers have traditionally been pneumatic tools tethered to air compressors, but cordless versions eliminate the need for hoses and compressors on trim jobs. If you’re installing crown molding or attaching delicate veneer, this could be a worthwhile upgrade from dragging around air equipment.

GRC18V-60N Cordless Ratchet

The new cordless ratchet delivers 45 foot-pounds of torque through a 3/8-inch square drive. That’s enough muscle for automotive work, equipment maintenance, and mechanical repairs where space is tight but you still need real torque.

Cordless ratchets have become popular alternatives to impact wrenches for mechanics working in confined engine bays or on equipment assemblies. The controlled torque and compact head make them less likely to damage fasteners than impact tools while still being faster than manual ratcheting.

GRD18V-127HXN Right Angle Drill

Bosch’s high-torque right angle drill can handle up to 5-inch hole saws, making it serious equipment for rough-in electrical and plumbing work. Right angle drills excel at drilling between studs, joists, and other tight spaces where standard drill/drivers won’t fit.

The ability to spin a 5-inch hole saw means this isn’t just a light-duty accessory—it’s a legitimate rough-in tool for trades that need to bore large holes through framing lumber all day.

GSA18V-24N Compact Reciprocating Saw

Details on Bosch’s new compact recip saw are limited, but the “compact” designation suggests it’s positioned as a one-handed demo tool rather than a full-size demolition saw. These smaller saws have become popular for plumbers, electricians, and remodelers who need cutting power but value maneuverability over maximum blade stroke.

CORE18V Battery Technology

All four tools run on Bosch’s CORE18V battery platform, which uses advanced cell technology to deliver more power and runtime than standard lithium-ion packs. What makes this particularly interesting is AMPShare compatibility—Bosch batteries now work with a growing list of cordless products from other brands.

Battery cross-compatibility has been one of the biggest pain points for professionals and DIYers who’ve invested in one ecosystem. If Bosch’s AMPShare adoption continues growing, it could pressure other manufacturers to open up their battery platforms or risk losing customers who value interoperability.

What This Means for the 18V Market

Bosch has historically positioned itself as a premium option for professionals who prioritize tool quality over having the absolute largest product lineup. These four new tools show they’re still filling out their catalog to compete with Milwaukee, DeWalt, and Makita on breadth.

The pin nailer is particularly notable—it’s a category where pneumatic tools still dominate, and Bosch’s brushless motor approach could win over finish carpenters who’ve been skeptical of cordless pin nailers’ consistency.

Pricing and exact availability haven’t been announced yet, but these tools should start appearing at retailers throughout 2026. If you’re already in the Bosch 18V ecosystem, these additions make the platform more viable as your only cordless lineup.
