FLEX just announced the FX3111A, a 24V cordless mini grinder and cut-off tool with an adjustable rotating head — a feature that lets you lock the disc in the optimal position for overhead cuts, flush grinding, or tight corner work without awkwardly repositioning your body or the workpiece.
The 3-inch (76mm) wheel and 1.87-lb bare weight make this a fundamentally different tool from a standard 4.5-inch angle grinder. It’s built for cuts where a larger disc physically won’t fit: inside a cabinet, in a pipe chase, or between studs.

The four-stage speed switch — a physical selector, not a variable trigger — lets you match RPM to material. Lower settings for tile, fiberglass, and composite; full 20,000 RPM for steel and iron.
