Milwaukee Is Launching Its First-Ever Abrasives Line — 100+ Cutting and Grinding Wheels April 20

Milwaukee Tool is entering the abrasive wheels category for the first time. More than 100 cutting, grinding, and combination wheel SKUs are set to launch April 20, 2026, exclusively at Home Depot. The lineup spans 4″ to 16″ across three performance tiers — a direct challenge to Diablo, Makita, and Bosch in the accessories market.

Three Tiers

Milwaukee structured the new abrasives line to cover different levels of professional use:

  • Ceramic+ — The flagship tier. Milwaukee claims these cut and remove material up to 2x faster than standard abrasive wheels and outlast competing ceramic wheels. Built for heavy daily professional use — grinders, circular saws, cutoff operations.
  • Performance+ — Mid-tier. Uses zirconia grain engineered to stay sharp longer. Milwaukee says these last up to 5x longer than entry-grade wheels.
  • Standard — Entry tier for lighter applications and occasional use.

Pricing runs from under $2 to approximately $23 per wheel depending on size and tier. Full availability begins April 20 at Home Depot and milwaukeetool.com.

Why Milwaukee Is Doing This Now

Milwaukee has spent the last decade building the most comprehensive jobsite ecosystem in the industry — M18 FUEL and MX FUEL cordless power, PACKOUT modular storage, hand tools, measuring equipment, and safety gear. Abrasives were one of the last significant categories missing from that picture.

The competitive angle is also clear. Diablo — widely considered the premium abrasives brand on the jobsite — is also a Home Depot exclusive. Milwaukee entering with over 100 SKUs on day one puts both brands on the same shelves at the same retailer. Milwaukee is betting that contractor brand loyalty will pull buying decisions its way.

For tradespeople already running Milwaukee, this simplifies the shopping trip: one brand, one store, one order. For Diablo, it’s the most credible head-to-head competition it has faced from a single brand in years.

What to Watch

Milwaukee’s “2x faster” and “5x longer” performance claims are internal figures — independent third-party comparisons won’t appear until tools are in the field post-April 20. If the Ceramic+ tier delivers at that level, this reshapes the abrasives aisle. If it doesn’t, contractors will know quickly.
