Lowe’s just posted its full holiday 2026 game plan, and tool buyers should circle October 29. That’s when the retailer kicks off four weeks of Black Friday pricing across tools, outdoor power equipment, appliances, and holiday decor, nearly a month before Black Friday itself.

Here’s the schedule, straight from Lowe’s October 8 announcement.

The Holiday Calendar

  • Now: Holiday assortment is live in stores and at Lowes.com. Early “Gifts Under” pricing tiers are up, along with free-product offers on select purchases from top tool brands.
  • Oct. 29: Four weeks of Black Friday deals begin across tools, OPE, appliances, and decor.
  • Nov. 16: 12 Days of Deals begin. Lowe’s expanded the old 10-day run to 12 this year, with new offers daily heading into Black Friday.
  • Thanksgiving week: Lowe’s says its biggest savings of the season land here across tools and OPE. Stores close Thanksgiving Day, but online-only deals continue.
  • Day before Black Friday: MyLowe’s Rewards and MyLowe’s Pro Rewards members get early online access to doorbusters starting Nov. 26.
  • Nov. 27: Doorbusters open to the general public.
  • Dec. 3 through Dec. 24: December Deal Drops refresh with new savings through Christmas Eve.

Why the Kobalt Buyer Should Care

Lowe’s is the only place to buy Kobalt, and the timing here is interesting. Kobalt just launched TXP tabless batteries and a batch of value-tier 24V kits, so a four-week discount window starting Oct. 29 gives those new SKUs their first shot at holiday pricing.

Craftsman, DeWalt, Bosch, and EGO all live at Lowe’s too, and the press release name-checks “free products with select purchases from top tool brands,” which is Lowe’s usual buy-a-kit-get-a-battery pattern. Expect specifics when the Oct. 29 ad drops.

How This Stacks Up Against Home Depot

Home Depot’s holiday tool event historically starts around the third week of October, so both retailers will run overlapping promo calendars again. Last year’s pattern held: Ridgid 8-tool combos and Milwaukee kit bundles carried the season at Home Depot while Lowe’s countered with Kobalt value kits and Craftsman BOGOs.

One new wrinkle this year: a member-only doorbuster window the day before Black Friday. MyLowe’s Pro Rewards members planning a big kit purchase should wait for it.

What To Do With This

If a combo kit or OPE purchase is already on your list, the Oct. 29 through Nov. 27 window covers every deal tier Lowe’s will run. Watch for the first ad scan in late October, and check member pricing before paying full price in November.
