Klein Tools has released a limited-edition USA 250th Anniversary collection at Lowe’s — patriotic versions of four core hand tools, all made in the United States, with limited quantities available now.
The Anniversary Context
2026 marks 250 years of American independence. Klein was founded in 1857 in Chicago by German immigrant Mathias Klein, who famously repaired a pair of broken pliers for a telegraph lineman and built a tool company from that repair. Klein has manufactured hand tools in the US continuously for more than 160 years — making them one of the few major tool brands that can legitimately back a “made in USA” story for their core line.
What’s in the Collection
Four tools with red, white, and blue handles, each stamped with an exclusive foil 250th anniversary dome:
- 9-Inch Lineman’s Pliers — Klein’s workhorse for pulling wire, gripping conduit, and cutting cable
- Diagonal Cutters — flush-cutting wire and light cable
- 3-Piece Screwdriver Set — flat and Phillips in Klein’s Classic profile
- Wire Stripper — strips 10–18 AWG solid and 12–20 AWG stranded, starting around $20
These are working tools, not wall pieces. The steel, induction-hardened cutting edges, and ergonomic profiles are identical to Klein’s standard catalog. Pricing matches regular Klein retail.
What This Means for Buyers
Past Klein limited runs — holiday colorways, collaboration sets — have sold out within a week. Anyone in the market for a lineman’s starter set or looking to add a gift-worthy Klein kit to the shop should move sooner rather than later. These won’t be restocked once they clear.
Klein has been active beyond hand tools this spring. The Klein 77000 Construction Jack we recently covered shows the brand expanding into jobsite equipment, and their measuring line has been a fixture in our best tape measures guide — the T210 and T310 hold their own against Stanley and Milwaukee entries at the same price point. The 250th Anniversary set is available at Lowe’s online and in-store while supplies last.
