The tool advent calendar market got crowded this year, and the Milwaukee one is the one people keep asking about. It sold out once already. Milwaukee has now put the 24 Days of Tools set back on Amazon at $319, and it is in stock as of this morning.
Three other brand calendars are also live right now, and they cost a lot less. Here is what each one actually contains, and which one makes sense for the person you are buying for.
The four brand calendars still available
Prices below were checked on Amazon this morning. Advent calendars move fast in November, so treat these as a snapshot.
| Calendar | Pieces | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Milwaukee 24 Days of Tools 2026 | 24 | $319 |
| Makita Advent Calendar 2026 (P-84888) | 24 | $223 |
| Wera Advent Calendar 2026 | 24 | $79.98 |
| Bosch Advent Calendar 2026 | 44 | $54.59 |
Milwaukee: the one that sold out
The Milwaukee set is the premium option. Each of the 24 gifts is individually boxed and packed into a two-tier collectible case. Inside you get a mix of hand tools, accessories, and safety gear.
A few specific items worth knowing about: mirror-coated scratch-resistant safety goggles in a zippered case with a carabiner, an 8-piece 1/4-inch hex drill bit set, a 6-in-1 ratcheting screwdriver, and a 6-in-1 compact screwdriver. There is also an angle grinder bottle opener, which is either the best or worst thing in the box depending on who you ask.
Three of the items are limited editions made only for this calendar. That is the reason it resells, and the reason it went out of stock the first time.
Worth flagging: several third-party sellers list “advent calendars for Milwaukee” on Amazon that are not Milwaukee products. We could not confirm a first-party Milwaukee listing for this set at the time of writing, so search the brand name carefully and check the seller before you buy. Popular Mechanics reported the $319 price on Amazon.
Bosch: most pieces for the least money
At $54.59 the Bosch calendar is the value pick, and it has more pieces than anything else here. The 44-piece set includes a 176mm water pump pliers, a precision bit screwdriver, a 9mm snap-off knife, a 1/4-inch ratchet, and 38 accessories, plus the obligatory bottle opener.
That is a real hand tool assortment rather than novelty filler. If you are shopping for someone who is just starting to build a toolbox, this covers more ground per dollar than the Milwaukee set does.
Makita and Wera: the middle ground
The Makita 24-piece calendar (P-84888) sits at $223. Amazon currently shows it in scarce stock, so check the listing before you commit.
Wera’s calendar lands at $79.98 and is the one to buy for someone who already owns decent hand tools. The 2026 version centers on the new 9115 Flashdriver, a compact flashlight with a built-in bit holder that is currently sold only inside the calendar. You also get a magnetic bit-holding screwdriver, a set of 50mm bits across Phillips, Pozidriv, Torx, and slotted, seven metric L-keys, and a 1/4-inch hex bottle opener.

Which one to buy
Buy the Milwaukee set if the person is already deep in M12 or M18 and wants branded gear they will actually carry. Buy the Bosch set if you want maximum tools for the money and do not care about brand matching. The Makita and Wera sets fill the gap for people who already have a solid kit and want the exclusive items.
One caution: these are gift sets, not starter kits. The tools inside are compact and specialized, and several are sized for tight work rather than general use. If you are buying for a first-time DIYer, a real combo kit goes further than a calendar does. Our Craftsman advent calendar review covers a cheaper 12-day alternative at $50.
