Bosch has formally announced the EXPERT EXKT18V-52G, a new 18V cordless track saw built around the company’s BITURBO brushless motor platform. It’s designed as the most powerful 18V plunge-cut saw in the Bosch lineup, running on a single 18V battery with dual-battery operation available for extended runtime. US launch is expected later in 2026; the tool is currently available through European Bosch Professional dealers.
The BITURBO designation carries weight. Bosch introduced the BITURBO motor on their heavy-duty angle grinders, where higher sustained power under load separates it from standard brushless motors. The EXKT18V-52G brings that platform to track-saw format — targeting cabinetmakers, finish carpenters, and sheet goods installers who want cordless precision without giving up cut depth.
Key Specs
- Cut depth: 52mm (~2″) at 90°; 32mm (~1.26″) at 45°
- Motor: BITURBO brushless; single or dual 18V operation
- ECO mode: Reduced power setting for longer runtime on lighter cuts
- Display: Digital readout shows speed setting and battery level at a glance
- Wall clearance: Cuts within 10mm of a wall — useful for kitchen installs and built-in cabinetry
How It Compares to the Current US Bosch Track Saw
Bosch already sells the PROFACTOR GKT18V-20GCL 5-1/2″ track saw through Amazon and Lowe’s — a solid performer for jobsite sheet cutting. The EXPERT BITURBO sits above it, with the BITURBO motor delivering more sustained power under load. That matters most when crosscutting dense hardwoods, thick engineered panels, or making repeated full-length cuts in hardwood plywood.
ECO mode is the practical differentiator for contractors: most rip cuts through melamine or MDF don’t need full power. Run ECO through those jobs, punch to full power when the material demands it, and a charge goes noticeably further.
US Availability
No US MSRP or ASIN has been announced. Bosch has not given a specific US ship date, though the company’s pattern suggests a North American rollout in Q3–Q4 2026, likely through Amazon and select specialty tool dealers. We’ll update when pricing is confirmed.
