DeWalt’s New DCN210 20V MAX XR Brad Nailer Is Its Most Compact Yet — Pneumatic Speed, Late-April Launch

DeWalt has launched the DCN210, a new 20V MAX XR 18-gauge brad nailer that’s their most compact cordless trim gun yet. Preorders are open now with stock arriving late April 2026.

Why the DCN210 Matters

Cordless nailers have always had a size problem. They’re heavier and bulkier than pneumatic guns, making overhead trim work and tight cabinet installs harder than they should be. At just 10.2 inches tall and 5 lbs bare, the DCN210 is designed to squeeze into spaces the outgoing DCN680 couldn’t reach — without giving up speed.

DeWalt claims pneumatic-level firing rates: up to 5 nails per second using its flywheel mechanism. That’s a meaningful number for anyone who’s watched a cordless nailer lag behind a compressor gun mid-run.

Key Specs

  • Platform: 20V MAX XR
  • Gauge: 18 GA
  • Nail range: 5/8″ to 2″
  • Firing speed: Up to 5 nails/second
  • Height: 10.2 inches
  • Weight: 5 lbs (tool only)
  • Actuation: Sequential and contact (user-selectable)
  • Adjustments: Tool-free depth and tool-free jam release
  • Extras: Low-nail lock-out LED, Bluetooth-ready

Pricing and Models

The DCN210B (tool only) is priced at $349. The DCN210E1 kit pairs it with a compact 1.7Ah PowerStack battery and charger for $419. If you already run 20V MAX tools, the bare tool is the smarter buy — your existing batteries will work.

DeWalt is also launching a vinyl siding adapter (DZNRNVSA) that attaches to the DCN210 for exterior siding work, a useful add-on for trim and siding contractors.

How It Compares

The outgoing DCN680 drew consistent criticism for bulk. The DCN210 closes that gap significantly, landing in the same class as Milwaukee’s M18 FUEL 18GA brad nailer at a competitive price point. If you’re already in DeWalt’s 20V MAX ecosystem, this is a compelling upgrade. If you’re cross-shopping platforms, size and weight are now roughly equal — battery compatibility and brand loyalty are the real tiebreakers.
