Milwaukee MX Fuel 27-lb SDS Max Demolition Hammer Is Coming June 2026: 26 Joules Cordless

Milwaukee Tool is set to launch its most powerful cordless demolition hammer this June: the MX FUEL 27-lb SDS Max Demolition Hammer (MXF365-0). At 26.1 joules of impact energy, it crosses into territory previously owned by corded tools, and it’s designed specifically for crews that want to cut the cord on concrete demolition without giving up performance.

The Numbers

  • Impact energy: 26.1 joules (19.2 ft-lbs)
  • Weight: 27 pounds (bare tool)
  • Runtime per charge: Up to 1.5 tons of material chipped, or approximately 33 minutes of continuous trigger time (with REDLITHIUM FORGE XC8.0 battery)
  • Trench equivalent: 63 linear feet at 4 inches deep per charge
  • Models: MXF365-0 (bare tool), MXF365-1XC (kit with battery and charger)
  • Launch: June 2026 at Home Depot
  • Pricing: Not yet confirmed — check manufacturer specs for updates

Key Features

AVS Anti-Vibration System — Anyone who has run a corded demo hammer for a few hours knows what vibration does to your hands and arms. Milwaukee’s AVS system is built into the MX Fuel platform specifically to reduce fatigue on extended demolition work.

VACLINK Wireless Dust Control — The tool wirelessly activates compatible Milwaukee extractors directly from the trigger, so dust suppression runs automatically while the tool is working. No separate switch, no cord to the extractor.

ONE-KEY Integration — GPS tracking and inventory management for contractors running job-site fleets. Less relevant for individual tradespeople, but standard on Milwaukee’s MX Fuel line.

Where It Fits in the Milwaukee Lineup

Milwaukee’s M18 FUEL rotary hammers top out at around 15 joules — the 27-lb MX Fuel more than doubles that. This is a different class of tool: a true jackhammer-class SDS Max, not a rotary hammer you’re swinging overhead. It’s designed to replace a corded breaker on slabs, sidewalks, and foundations.

The MX Fuel platform uses a proprietary battery system separate from the M18 ecosystem — there’s no cross-compatibility. The FORGE XC8.0 battery is the target pack for this tool. For contractors already running MX Fuel equipment, that’s no obstacle; for someone buying into it fresh, the battery investment is part of the package cost.

For comparison, Milwaukee’s M18 FUEL 1-3/4″ SDS Max Rotary Hammer — which shipped this month — delivers about 11 ft-lbs for drilling and lighter chipping. The 27-lb MX Fuel is in a different category entirely.
