Overview

Campbell Hausfeld has been a recognized name in air tools since the 1940’s. The company caters both to the homeowner DIY market, as well as the commercial market segment. The MP6000 Tire Inflator with Gauge is strictly aimed at the DIY market. It’s good for a variety of uses, and if you’ve been thinking of getting a tire inflator to complement your set of air compressor tools, the MP6000 will be a good addition to your tool arsenal.

Features

The MP6000 is a one piece tool that is meant primarily for home garage or light duty use. The body of the tool offers a solid one piece all metal construction. The attached gauge has a PSI readout from 10 to 150 PSI. Using the tool is as simple as attaching it to your air compressor, positioning the chuck on the tire stem, and pulling the trigger until the desired PSI rating is achieved. If you remove the chuck from the stem, the gauge will record the pressure of the inflated component. If you’re filling up a car tire, it can serve as a good reminder to make sure that you’ve filled it up to the right PSI level.

We used a 2 gallon DELTA air compressor to do some basic tasks like inflating a car and bicycle tire. The tool worked as expected. The only negatives we found with with the MP6000 was that the chuck sometimes failed to latch on properly to the tire stem, and leaked some air. Repositioning the chuck solved the problem.

Conclusions

Have a compressor? Sick of taking your car to the gas station and paying a buck to inflate your tires? The MP6000 is a good investment for a variety of your inflation needs.

Overview

DeWalt has been traditionally known for producing some quality power tools, and it has ported this formula to the production of its accessories as well. If you’re looking for some good eye protection when you’re working on a project, look no further than the DeWalt DPG82-11C goggles.

Features

The DeWalt DPG82-11C Concealer is a dual mold (read on to learn more about dual rubber injection) goggle that provides extra fog control and ventilation with an impact resistant clear polycarbonate lens. The latter offers some very good protection for the eyes. The built-in ventilation channel provides extra fog control and ventilation, but they will sometimes fog up with extreme changes in temperatures. Case and point – going from a warm house to the cool outdoors in the middle of the winter. The cloth head strap makes a comfortable, adjustable fit. T The glasses also come with a clip attachment, and allow for easy lens replacement.

What is Dual Injected Rubber?

The rubber is dual-injected (dual mold), and it provides a soft, comfortable seal. So, what exactly is “dual-injected” rubber? In rubber manufacturing, it’s the process of joining two or more materials with different hardness characteristics. In the case of the goggles, the dual-injection process of the rubber materials allows the goggles to be comfortable when pressed against the face, yet retain strong characteristics when connecting with the rest of the goggle body. Still don’t get it? Think of rubber that’s soft on one end, and hard on the other.

Conclusions

The goggles are are excellent value for the price, and these goggles are another example of the strong product quality that DeWalt offers. We highly recommend these goggles.
